Collective, is a media innovation incubator and MediaTech workforce development and education program, founded in 2017 by Randy Blankenship, John Zozzaro, and Paul O'Brien. The organization is led by Randy Blankenship in on behalf of education, and John Zozzaro in his focus on startups and entrepreneurs in their 12 week founder curriculum.

The incubator is focused on startups that are working on innovating the media space, which includes augmented and virtual reality, publishing, news, public relations, video games, music, sound, film, marketing, advertising, radio, and podcasting. Their education work is a part of the Austin Community Foundation, a nonprofit philanthropy organization, and is operated by MediaTech Ventures, an Austin, TX based business that promotes the development of the local media and technology industries.[1]

Like many incubators, Collective takes a stake of its graduates’ equity, driving entrepreneurs' focus on fundable company development, and does charge a nominal fee $750 to participants, designing cohorts of passionate and committed founders.

Companies that are selected will spend 12 weeks in the incubator, working on product ideas and design, business modeling, and fundraising, among other typical startup tasks. The incubator was developed after observing the better outcomes for founders in similar industry-focused (non-generic) incubators around Texas.

Collective also offers bootcamps and other education and training programs.
