Tom Masterson is Vice President of Audience Development at Active Interest Media in Boulder, Colorado.
Previously he was a cofounder of MediaPlus LLC where Tom helped launched GlobalHeath & Travel Media in 2011. GHT is now the premiere provider of content in print, videos and online for the Asia medical tourism industry. GHT launched its medical facilitation division in 2016 and was named healthcare concierge for MasterCard Asia in January 2017. Before that, Masterson was Senior Vice-President at Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. running operations for Elle, Car & Driver, Road & Track, Woman’s Day among other media brands. Tom was Managing Director for BusinessWeek Asia and BusinessWeek China, as well as serving as VP of Worldwide Circulation for BusinessWeek. Tom was VP Development at K-III (later Primedia) where he worked on the acquisition of over 40 magazines. Tom started his career at Newsweek in the circulation department.
