Larry Marcus

Larry Marcus is passionate about joyful products, breakthrough technologies, and people that know how to manifest a clear vision. He’s an investor in media companies such as Pandora, SoundHound, Aarki, Netflix, BandPage, Maestro, Jukely, LyricFind, SquareTwo, as well as other ventures including Skip, goTenna, TouchBistro, TodayTix, MeUndies, and Robust Wealth. He is the Managing Director of Walden Venture Capital and a co-founder of Marcy Venture Partners.

Prior to Walden, Larry was a digital media sell-side Equity Research Analyst at Deutsche Bank where he lead the top performing IPOs of 1998 and 1999 (Terayon and CBS MarketWatch), as well as the IPOs of Netflix (initial S-1 IPO filing), Maxis (acquired by Electronic Arts), Edmark (acquired by IBM) and among other equity and debt financings (Broderbund, Sierra On-line, Excite@Home, Spectrum Holobyte, CBS Sportsline). Prior experience includes Robertson Stephens & Company, Market research at Digidesign and General Management in computer services retail.

Larry is a frequent guest lecturer at Haas Graduate School of Business and has been a speaker at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School. He has been a speaker and panelist at numerous conferences including SF MusicTech, Convergence, VentureBeat, CMW, Billboard, Pollstar, AlwaysOn, Digital Hollywood, Under The Radar, and Vator.TV.

He was named to the Billboard Power 100 in music and the Twitter 140 to follow.
