Techstars Music Accelerator

Techstars Music Accelerator is a music industry focused division of the Techstars startup accelerator. The program is run by Bob Moczydlowsky, managing director of Techstars Music and former head of music at Twitter, Jen Hall, and Samantha Russo.

The Techstars Music Accelerator is partially funded by prominent companies across the music industry that also serve as mentors for the startups. Partners include Warner Music Group, Q Prime Management, Bill Silva Entertainment, Silva Artist Management, Sony, Concord, Royalty Exchange, RecoChoku, AVEX, and fitness company Peloton.

Alumni of the program include Blink Identity, which is working with Live Nation and Ticketmaster to experiment with facial recognition technology at events, and Amper Music, the leading AI music producer that raised nearly $10 million in funding last year.

The Techstars Music Accelerator starts February 4 and ends May 2 with a demo day in Los Angeles, where the nine startups will present their products to more than 300 venture investors, music execs, and entertainment and tech leaders.

Their 2018 cohort featured Blink Identify, edison.ai, Endel, Gimme Media, HelloTickets, Mighty Audio, Seated, SecondBrain, SoundCharts, and Spark DJ.1

In February, 2019, Fast Company introduced the 2019 cohort including The Music Fund, SuperRes, Inklocker, Replica, Marble AR, Mila, Rhinobird, EmbodyMe, and Signal Distribution.2
